Biostimulants on mineral nutrition and fiber quality of cotton crop AGRIAMBI
Silva,Ricardo de A.; Santos,Jerffson L.; Oliveira,Luan S.; Soares,Mauricio R. S.; Santos,Saad M. S. dos.
ABSTRACT Biostimulants are used in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) to balance vegetative and reproductive growth as well as to increase cotton seed yield and fiber quality. Therefore, in order to study the efficiency of seed treatment with biostimulants, nutrition, production and technological quality for the cotton fiber, a field experiment was installed. The study was conducted at the Alvorada farm research field, in Luis Eduardo Magalhães municipality - BA. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized block design with four replicates and five treatments (control group, untreated group, Booster®, Stimulate®, Improver® and Biozyme®). Leaf contents of nutrients, yield and technological quality of the fiber were evaluated. The results showed that...

Use of mulches and their effects on the radish crop AGRIAMBI
Santos,Jerffson L.; Fernandes,Cinira de A. F.; Oliveira,Luan S.; Jesus,Cristina M. de; Porto,John S.; Rebouças,Tiyoko N. H..
ABSTRACT This work aimed to evaluate the influence of green fertilization and the compost on the production of radish, cv. ‘Cometa’. The experimental design was randomized blocks with 6 treatments and 4 replicates: T1 - Leucaena, T2 - ‘Madeira-nova’, T3 - Compost (maize straw and composted cattle manure), T4 – ‘Sempre verde’ grass + compost and T5 – ‘Sempre verde’ grass and T6 - control without fertilization, totaling 24 experimental plots. The total area of the experimental plot was 1.44 m2, with useful area of 0.80 m2 and 21.0 t ha-1 of fertilizer (dry basis) were incorporated in each treatment. The radish crop was directly sown in the beds, in 2- to 3-cm-deep holes, leaving one plant at spacing of 20 cm between rows and 5 cm between plants. Twenty-nine...

Water relations and photosynthesis of young coffee plants under two water regimes and different N and K doses Agrociencia
Andrade,Marcela A. Frois de; Cairo,Paulo A. Ramos; Santos,Jerffson L..
Nitrogen (N) and potassium (K) are the major nutrients required for coffee plants growth and development. Soil water deficit reduces nutrients uptake, causing negative effects on photosynthesis and water relations of plants. Within certain limits, the increase in N and K concentration in soil solution could result in higher nutrient uptake, softening physiological disturbs caused by the water deficit. This study aimed to evaluate water relations and photosynthesis of young coffee plants grown in 16 L pots in a greenhouse. Treatments were three N and three K doses: conventional (urea 12 g plant-1 and KCl 4 g plant-1), doubled and tripled; and two water regimes: irrigated (soil at field capacity) and non-irrigated. Thus, treatments were arranged in a...
